The Galerie der Villa and Mazv / More than too much have been invited to exhibit at Kunsthaus Jesteburg. Mazv is a new association that is not yet fully registered. It was founded in 2010 by Corinna Koch and Peter Heidenwag for the Mehr als zu viel / More than too much exhibition marking the tenth anniversary of Galerie der Villa.

The project brings together artists and facilitators from many walks of life who originally met at the Galerie der Villa and who have since united in different constellations to put on new exhibitions. It is a venue where people with and without disabilities can work and cooperate. The diverse artists collaborate in curatorial and planning processes to find ways of devising new artistic strategies. Most of the works that feature in Deep in the countryside were designed and realized especially for the exhibition in order to demonstrate this collective working process and allow visitors to gain a direct impression of this collaborative approach.

Both the building’s interior and exterior will serve as presentation spaces for Deep in the countryside . The exhibiting artists work in a range of media and will present installations, drawings, wallpapers, photographs, films and projections. Deep in the countryside is an exhibition featuring over twelve different positions that can be approached both individually and as a single installation that explores and incorporates the exhibition location.

Opening hours
Thursday and Friday 3 p.m – 7 p.m, Saturday and Sunday 2 p.m. – 5 p.m.
